Through community service, social justice, and other volunteerism, Tikkun Olam at PAS seeks to help our community in NYC, our country, Israel, and other places where there is need for our support. Our initiatives to “repair the world” include ongoing regular projects, seasonal work  based on a theme, and projects to support a need or event.

Mitzvah of the Month - September: Support IDF Soldiers

  • Attend our Tikkun Olam Together for Israel event on Sep 18 at 6:15 pm, where, in partnership with Grilling for Israel, we will prepare cards with notes of support and love for IDF soldiers.

  • Can’t attend our event? Pick up a blank card from the PAS front desk or download a card here to print some out at home, write a note of support, and return it to our letter collection box by Sep 18

  • Consider ways to support an organization that helps IDF troops and soldiers returning home from war. Here are some resources:
  • Know an IDF soldier? Call, send a video or audio message, or use other channels to send love, strength, and support, especially as Rosh Hashanah approaches.
