Rabbi Cosgrove, Ph. D

Rabbi Elliot Cosgrove, PhD, a leading voice in the Conservative Movement, follows a tradition of distinguished predecessors on the pulpit at Park Avenue Synagogue, including Rabbi Milton Steinberg, Rabbi Judah Nadich, and Rabbi David H. Lincoln. 

Rabbi Cosgrove, who began his tenure at Park Avenue Synagogue in 2008, was ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary in 1999 and earned his PhD from The University of Chicago Divinity School. His dissertation on Rabbi Louis Jacobs, a leading Anglo-Jewish theologian of the 20th century, reflects his passion for the intersection of Jewish scholarship and faith.

Rabbi Zuckerman

Rabbi Neil Zuckerman began his career at PAS as director of congregational education the joined the clergy team. As director of congregational education, Rabbi Zuckerman initiated and oversaw numerous programs and classes for learners of all ages.

Rabbi Zauzmer

Rabbi Shayna Golkow Zauzmer, who was the congregation’s rabbinic intern from 2017 to 2019, returned as assistant rabbi in 2022, and became associate rabbi in 2024. 
 
From her ordination in 2019 until the summer of 2022, she was assistant rabbi at Temple Aliyah in Southern California.   

Rabbi Koffman

Rabbi Lori Koffman, the former director of engagement and innovation at the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, also was the director of congregational support and adult education at Central Synagogue, the inaugural director of community engagement at Bet Torah in Mt. Kisco, and the founder and director of Mamash, a nonprofit focused on increasing engagement of unaffiliated Jews.

Rabbi Solmsen

Rabbi Bradley Solmsen is a senior Jewish educational leader with significant experience engaging youth and the staff who work with our young people as well as creating innovative programming. Before joining Park Avenue Synagogue as director of congregational education, Rabbi Solmsen was the executive director of Surprise Lake Camp in Cold Spring, N.Y.  Surprise Lake, one of the longest-running Jewish residential camps, is known for its breathtaking grounds as well as its strong sense of community and inclusiveness.

Rabbinic Intern Pink

Aiden Pink is a rabbinical student at the Jewish Theological Seminary and the Rabbinic Intern at Park Avenue Synagogue. He is also his class’s representative on JTS’s student council, the director of the seminary’s Rabbinical & Cantorial School Placement Service, and the research assistant to JTS Chancellor Shuly Rubin Schwartz.

Cantor Schwartz

Cantor Azi Schwartz, a world-renowned singer and recording artist whose music reaches Jewish and interfaith audiences around the world, has been serving the Park Avenue Synagogue community since 2009, following distinguished predecessors, including Cantor David Lefkowitz.  He has an online following with over 25 million views, and his performances have been described as emotionally moving, spiritually uplifting, and artistically dynamic.

Cantor Davis

While in cantorial school, Mira Davis was the intern at Congregation B’nai Amoona in St. Louis; the Brotherhood Synagogue in Gramercy Park, New York; and Park Avenue Synagogue.

Cantor Reisner

Cantor Arielle Reisner has a bachelor’s degree in music and environmental studies from the University of Rochester and a cantorial investiture and master’s of sacred music degree from the H.L. Miller Cantorial School at the Jewish Theological Seminary.

Cantorial Intern Fox

Sierra Jade Fox (she/her) is a fourth-year cantorial student at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion’s Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music. Before beginning her cantorial studies, she served as a soloist and ensemble singer with a vast number of sacred and secular choirs in the Greater Philadelphia area, while also touring throughout the United States, Europe, and South America. Sierra graduated Summa Cum Laude from Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music with majors in Vocal Performance and Religion and Society.
